Pork Sausage Smoor | Pork Recipes with Van Wyngaardt

Pork Sausage Smoor

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Van Wyngaardt Russians or Pork Sausage
  • 45 ml oil for frying
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 400 ml Water
  • 250 gr potatoes cubed
  • 150 gr carrots diced
  • 100 gr green beans chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic – finely chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat an oven to 180° C
  • Place the pork bangers in an oven dish in the oven for ± 15 – 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside
  • Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onions until soft and transparent
  • Add the water to the onions and mix well. Bring to the boil
  • Add the potatoes and carrots. Simmer for ± 30 minutes or until the potatoes are soft
  • Slice the pork bangers into rounds and add them to the pot. Add the green beans
  • Cover the pot and simmer for ± 5 – 10 minutes before serving
